Currently, musculoskeletal ultrasonography (MSK-US) has gained significant importance in the evaluation and treatment processes of knee structures. Ultrasonography stands out due to its ability to provide high-resolution, real-time imaging; allow for dynamic and comparative assessment; and its accessibility and cost-effectiveness. In addition, many interventional treatment procedures can also be performed safely and effectively under ultrasound guidance. In this review, the role of ultrasound in diagnosing musculoskeletal injuries around the knee, the most frequently encountered pathologies, and interventional procedures performed under ultrasound guidance will be discussed in detail.
