Limb lengthening surgeries have become more popular, particularly following the introduction of the `Distraction Osteogenesis` concept by Ilizarov in the 1950s. However, the complications associated with conventional techniques and the challenges faced by patients have necessitated the development of innovative surgical methods with fewer complications and improved patient satisfaction. Meanwhile, intramedullary nail-based lengthening techniques developed. Especially with the advent of motorized systems, surgical time has been reduced, complications minimized, and patient satisfaction significantly improved.
